The two formats that we support are the original standard 8mm format, also known as "Regular 8", and the subsequent "Super 8" format.
All conversions are silent; there is no sound. Most 8mm film does not even include a sound track. Sound was eventually added to the Super 8 format, but it is not common. Even if a sound track is present, sound will not be captured.
The maximum video runtime for 8mm film ranges from 3 minutes (for a 3-inch reel) to just over 30 minutes (for a 7-inch reel). However, not all 8mm films are the same and actual runtimes will vary.
